Our Handicap Knockout Competition starts on Monday 9th March 2026, with all 24 teams.
The draw has been prepared without handicaps so that teams can make arrangements with their venues, the handicaps cannot be finalised until all of the postponed games have been played.
Once they have been played the draw will be sent with handicaps included. Please see note below regarding Electronic Questions Distribution, please let me have your response tomorrow.
The arrangements for the competition are as follows
Week One 9th March 2026

Week Two 16th March 2026 Cup Plate

Week Three 23rd March 2026 Cup Plate

Week Four 30th March 2026, all games played at Aigburth Peoples Hall Draw will take place on the night

Questions Sets
We are using sets provided for MQL games there are only eight rounds and spares available.
In the event of a draw after round eight, there will be three tie-break questions and an ultimate tie-break question.
Each team will confer and write down the answer to each question, the team having the most correct answers wins, should there still be a tie, the ultimate tie-break question should be asked, nearest wins.
Electronic Questions Distribution
It has been suggested that we use electronic questions distribution for this competition.
Will you please discuss this with your team members and let me know if you wish to use this method by no later than Thursday 26th February 2026, as that is the date on which I want to post any paper questions that are required.
Results
Please send results sheets to me after each game, not Angela Doyle, as I am the Competition Organiser, I will prepare and publish the results and also distribute questions.
