Brian Thompson (Aigburth People) and Rob Cruise (Bookworms) went head to head in the final first round heat of this year's Brain of Britain competition.  Also taking part were Tony Quinn, also from Liverpool, and North-easterner Clive Dunning who was the 2014 Mastermind Champion.

Mark Kerr of Rainhill Victoria has reached the final of the MQL MIMIR competition and is joined in the final by Jim Eccleson and Karl Whelan of Wirral, and John Hall of Warrington.
