Congratulations and thanks to everyone who organised and attended the 2026 LQL Charity Table Quiz held at Christ the King Parish Club on Friday 17 April. The event this year was raising money for The Brain Charity who support those with a variety of neurological conditions. Over eighty people took part with the leading amateur team receiving the Dave Cotson Trophy, named for our late friend and initiator of these annual quizzes. Bishop Eton won the Andy Walsh Trophy for the top professional team for the third time in succession. Andy was a Liverpool QL player whose family donated the trophy in his memory. As usual there were many members of the Walsh family taking part. Many thanks to the CTK Club and their staff. The Club generously waived the hire of the premises for the evening. Tim Walsh, a trustee and brother of Andy, said a few words about the work of the Charity.
